Becky Burns, founder of Anahola Granola, a Kaua’i-based company that produces a variety of granola products, kept her business small “so that I could keep a handle on everything.”

Becky Burns started Anahola Granola on Kauai in 1986. What began as a favorite dish served at social gatherings, grew into pounds sold at fairs, farmer’s markets and specialty stores. Becky made and sold her granola for many years while running the Deco Gecko Café in Kapaa.
Anahola Granola continues to grow each year, but is still run as a cottage industry and small business. Although Becky’s vision of keeping her business small goes against the modern business model, it ensures quality control and consistency in the product.
Anahola Granola has three flavors of granola in various package sizes and “Maca Mania” granola bars. Anahola Granola is sold in most Kaua’i stores, and Burns has expanded sales to more than 100 stores and upscale hotels on Kaua’i, O’ahu and Maui. Read the rest of the story here.
The Anahola Granola Building also has rental apartments, a orchid center in the back, and is the home of FARSYDE TATTOO.
